The Department of Textile and Apparel, Technology and Management’s students, faculty and staff partner with industry, government and nonprofit partners to solve grand challenges in the textiles enterprise. Our more than 650 high-performing undergraduate and graduate students apply what they learn in the real world by industry-based education focusing on textile and fashion management and design, conducting research and completing internships to prepare for leadership positions in the global marketplace. The TATM Department will foster an inspiring, student-centered, learning and research environment to shape the world of fashion and textile design, and textile management.

Essential Job Duties
The Lecturer will teach specialized courses within the TATM Department.  

Degrees awarded within the College include the BS degree in Fashion and Textile Design, BS in Fashion and Textile Management, Masters degree in Textiles, and College-wide PhD’s in Textile Technology Management and Fiber and Polymer Science. 

Faculty in the Department are required to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute substantially to research for the textile, fashion, retail, and allied industries

Other Responsibilities
Perform other related duties as assigned by the department head.




Qualifications

 






























Minimum Education and Experience

  • Requires master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.


Other Required Qualifications


    • Proficient in theories and principles for fiber, textile, fashion, and retail complex. 



 





Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience.
