About you


To be successful in this role, you must be a leader with experience integrating, leading and growing a line of business. You must be effective working across multiple cross-functional teams and able to get things done quickly and at scale. The ability to synthesize multiple sources of information across business/marketing and product/engineering and translate them effectively into short, medium, and long-term product strategy and prioritization is a must. The successful candidate will bring adept leadership experience, quantitative skills, strategic thinking and sound business judgment, along with the ability to think creatively and work across all teams.  


This is what you'll be doing:



  • Develop and manage the business strategy and oversee the execution of the Leadership Development Strategy. 

  • Define the market, competitive landscape, content strategy, and product strategy.

  • Drive the Product Development and Strategy with the stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Content. 

  • Manage the P&L for the business unit, reporting directly to the President of Udemy. 

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams to execute the business strategy. 

  • Bring your leadership skills, operational experience, and deep industry knowledge to facilitate alignment amongst the teams.   


We're excited about you because you have:



  • 10+ years of Leadership experience.

  • Experience working directly with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Content.

  • MBA or Masters in a technical field is a plus.

  • Previous experience developing a Product. EdTech/E-Learning experience is a plus. 

  • Previous experience in developing a go-to market plan and execution with strategic partners.

  • Distinctive problem-solving and data-driven analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and teams. 

  • Get-it-done mindset: not afraid to roll up your sleeves, and do what it takes to get the job done.

  • Ability to work in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, and react professionally under pressure.
